Gidley drove the entire Rolex Series season with Michael McDowell, claiming an overall victory—BMW’s first Daytona Prototype class win—in the season-finale in Mexico City.

1999-2004 – Made 38 Champ Car World Series starts, highlighted by two second place finishes and a third place result. In 2004, drove in the SPEED World Challenge Series. Finished fourth in the 2003 Trans-Am Series event at Infineon Raceway. Finished fourth in the 1999 ALMS Petit Le Mans.

1998 – Finished third in the Toyota Atlantic Championship.

1997 – Finished second in the Toyota Atlantic Championship. Early Career – Won multiple karting championships from 1993 through 1996. Won 1992 Formula Russell championship.
