Practice in Brazil

At the end of the second practice session at Interlagos, Lewis Hamilton has jumped to the top of the field. As could be anticipated, his McLaren team mate, and the two Ferrari drivers are right on his heels. If you are a Formula 1 fan, do not miss the season finale this Sunday.

Because of the time zone of the Interlagos facility in Brazil, the practice, qualifying, and race times are more convenient for those of us in the US of A. Even though we will get the practice sessions on tape delay, qualifying and the race should be close to “real time”, and we should all be wide awake.

This is the most exciting end of season race in recent memory. If reports are accurate, even if Alonzo wins the race, Hamilton will still be Champion if he finishes second. Either of the Ferrari drivers as well as pure old racing luck can have an impact on the Championship points. If everyone survives the first turn with cars in one piece, and also the first few laps, it should turn into a real nail biter. A fitting end to a great Formula 1 season.
