Add another wrinkle to the speculation as to where Fernando Alonzo will end up next year. In addition to Flavio Briatore’s rhetoric with regard to bringing Alonzo back to Renault, now comes the rumor that Felipe Massa has been seen in the company of Toyota officials in an effort to find a seat next year should Ferrari decide to kick him out in favor of Alonzo. Alonzo and Raikkonen would indeed be a formidable team at Ferrari and the Italian firm certainly could make a run at him, but who knows how much credence to give such a rumor.

Elsewhere, it sounds like the Spyker purchase has not been received with open arms by Formula One Management and that arrangement is not yet a done deal, and one or two new team applications are making their way through the process, Speculation is that the new teams will not be approved, but we shall see.
