IRL for 2008

It’s really nice to be proven wrong about the consolidation of the open wheel racing series’. I thought that egos and business interests would prevent it from ever happening, but it has, and that is great.

After the first race we can say that it is unfortunate that a couple of front runners were knocked out by spinning field fillers, but that scenario will fade away soon. Let’s hope that PT can clear up his contractual obligations and grab a ride with a quality team.

The TV talking heads say that a revised 2008 schedule will be available soon. We will have that schedule posted here at RacingInformation.com when it is available.

I’m planning on attending the June race at Texas Motor Speedway, and it has the potential to be the best race IRL has ever put on at that facility. Stay tuned for more on the exciting 2008 IRL season.
