IRL End of Season Race

Congratulation to Dario Franchitti, all of the IRL drivers, and particularly the Indy Racing League. To have the series Championship come down to the last corner of the last lap is fantastic.

When Dixon sputtered, my wife was instantly on her feet, pumping her arms, jumping up and down and yelling with excitement. It was kind of weird because we were at home in our living room, but she is a big Franchitti fan and I guess that kind of feeling is to be expected. I hid the keys because I thought she might take the pick-up out and do donuts in the street in front of the house.

To my way of thinking, there could be a few more events, but I guess they don’t want to compete with other sports that are winding down with excitement, or just cranking up. Good luck to Champ Car in coming up with as good a season finale. Losing the Arizona race was a bit of bad luck to them, but they still have a couple of events to help keep the open wheel racing season alive and exciting. I probably won’t have to chain wifey down, but it should still be a good end of season.
