Back when JGR switched from Chevy to Toyota I started a tongue in cheek, just fun blog thread called “Bring Tony Stewart back to Chevrolet”. The list of reasons for him to return to Chevy never got past three entries, and while it is possible that someone named Tony might have read them, it certainly wasn’t the man himself.

Jamie McMurray makes a mistake and bunts Dale Jr. off track and admits that he just didn’t see Jr. slowing down to enter the pits. He will probably get a big round of Boos at the next driver introduction.

Juan Pablo Montoya spins out the Shrub (aka “Rowdy” Busch), is man enough to stand up and say “I did it”, and will face the wrath of NASCAR, but he didn’t upset any other drivers and he will probably get a big round of applause at the next driver introductions.

Maybe I’m the only goofy guy that sees it this way, but I think there was another little race within the 92nd Indy 500. That race was between Danica Patrick, Sarah Fisher and Milka Duno. Guess who won! Finishing 19th and running at the end was none other than Milka Duno.

With Danica and Sarah out by contact, Milka’s spin near the end of the race let her get underway again with new tires and record her second finish of the season. Obviously she has a long way to go and I’m not suggesting that she is in a class with Danica or Sarah but she does have bragging rights for a few days.
