It’s silly to keep beating on Kyle Busch for smashing his trophy guitar. Our country is full of sports millionaires that attain celebrity status because they can do one thing better than a lot of other folks. Unfortunately that celebrity status does not convey intelligence or class on them, and doesn’t fix stupid. You would think that as a race car driver Busch would have respect for a beautifully crafted piece of equipment and the craftsman that made it. Apparently not, but in comparison to the antics of some of our stick and ball heroes, what he did was mild.

FIA has ruled that Lewis Hamilton did not win the GP at Spa because he failed to yield the lead back to Kimi Raikkonen after taking a short cut across the grass. The way I saw it (on TV of course) was that he had the choice of hitting the Ferrari or going through the grass, so he took the off course excursion. When he came back on course, his McLaren was positioned to the Ferrari drivers left.

If you missed this mornings F-1 race at Spa, do not miss the replays later in the day. Also, do not miss the last 3 laps. It looked very much like time to stick a fork in Lewis Hamilton, but he was far from done. Riding in second behind Raikkonen’s Ferrari for most of the race, he started to close up near the very end of the race, and then rain began falling. It changed the game completely.
